Dr. Andrew Braun is a pulmonary physician-scientist in the Department of Medicine and director of the UW Health Adult Cystic Fibrosis Program and CFF Therapeutics Development Network. He is a native of Wisconsin and completed both his undergraduate (B.S., French) and medical degrees at the University of Wisconsin. During his undergraduate studies, he participated in the year-long Academic Program in Aix-en-Provence and received a D.E.U.G in Economic Sciences at the Aix-Marseille Université. His research interests include cystic fibrosis genetics, outcomes in CF lung transplantation, and the metabolic consequences of advanced lung disease. His academic endeavors have included a collaboration with the INSERM Unité de Génétique moleculaire in Brest, France.
